We have a new community to supplement RPing. As everybody knows from reading the rules, the board's rating is PG-13. That will not change. However, I'm happy to introduce a new community for members 18 years of age or older:
teaandtarts. When/if you register an account for your character, please be sure to put YOUR birthday in the profile, then hide it. LJ needs to access your birthdate to give you clearance to join and view the community, but there's no need for everybody else to have access to your birthday with specifics (such as year). There will be more details on what to do after registration in a post to the new community. The same post will probably appear in the regular EAA community.
Doing things this way is a little convoluted, but it's important to keep the board at its present rating. However, I feel it is just as important to avoid stifling your writing of YOUR character. Members who don't sign up will not be excluded from knowing general details, because all threads will still start and probably end at this board. However, they will have the option of skipping over the middle, which will be posted at teaandtarts.
With the introduction of character livejournal accounts, I'm sure the old community will become much more exciting. I know Trenton Miller is planning on counting down his top 10 toads for Valentine's Day, and I suspect other crazy things like that will pop up.
